Gluten Free Haggis Koftas

A delicious alternative to the traditional Gluten Free Haggis, Neeps and Tatties.

Ingredients

  • 300g Macsween Gluten free haggis
  • 300g minced Scottish lamb or beef
  • 5g finely chopped red chilli
  • 50g finely chopped onion
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric
  • 2tsp coriander powder
  • ½ tsp cinnamon powder
  • 10g fresh coriander chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic finely chopped
  • Maldon sea salt & freshly milled black pepper
  • 30ml Vegetable oil for cooking koftas

Method

  1. Remove the outer casing from the haggis, cut off 300g, crumble the haggis and add lamb mince
  2. Add the onion, chilli, garlic & coriander mix in the spices until well blended, season
  3. Divide into 8 x 80g balls; roll out each ball to form a sausage, place in the fridge to firm up
  4. Heat the grill to high heat
  5. Thread the koftas onto 8 skewers, brush with oil & season
  6. Grill until cooked through & piping hot
  7. Place the koftas kebabs on the plate, garnish with chopped mint
  8. Serve with basmati rice, flat breads and natural yogurt
