Haggis Lamb Kibbeh Burger

A lean alternative burger recipe

  • 500g minced lamb (or quorn mince)
  • 500g haggis/vegetarian haggis
  • 2 cloves of garlic, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon ground coriander
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • small bunch parsley, chopped
  • small bunch mint, shopped
  • 150g bulger


  1. Cover bulger with cold water and leave to absorb for 10 minutes, drain and squeeze out excess water.
  2. Break up haggis and combine with minced lamb or Quorn mince.
  3. Add all other ingredients and mix well using your hands making sure that everything is evenly combined.
  4. Shape into patties, chill for 30 minutes to firm up.
  5. Cook over a hot grill or on a grill pan till done.
  6. Serve on a fresh bun with salad and hummus.
