Over the Summer, we had the pleasure of working with the lovely Julia Frey, a Russian food blogger and photographer based in London. We were drawn to her passion for food, family and life, all of which comes through in her blog Vikalinka. Incidentally, much of her life is taken up by cooking, due to very hungry children and an occasionally hungry husband (which I bet some of you can relate to!). She began her blog as just a place to record her recipes but soon discovered this is where she is most inspired and creative.
We couldn’t wait to work with Julia and see what she would do with the Macsween products. Julia has managed to put her own modern twist on some of our traditional food. We are delighted that we can now share her delicious vegetarian recipes with you, alongside her mouth-watering photography.
You’ll find her collections of tasty vegetarian recipes here on our site. You must have a try yourself as these innovative meals that will surprise and delight your family and friends. There is everything from Haggis Shepherd’s Pie to a Sweet Chilli Haggis Breakfast Bowl. Remember you can always substitute the vegetarian haggis for our traditional haggis.
“I cook what inspires me and what is loved by my family and hopefully it will also inspire you and will become your family’s favourite.” - Julia Frey
Got your own recipe? We would love to see your vegetarian haggis creations! Share with us on social using the hashtag #HaggisMyWay and we’ll feature some of our favourites.
