    Posted by Team Macsween

On Monday 20th August Macsween will be guest starring at a food & beer pairing event hosted by the Herald's Tom Bruce-Gardyne.

The event, held at the Innis & Gunn pop-up bar at 32 Potterow, will celebrate Scotland's rich brewing history, with a chance to sample the finest craft beers and Scottish produce including our traditional haggis and black pudding - it doesn't get much better than that!

For your chance to win a pair of tickets to the event visit the WIN THINGS page of our website or our facebook page.

To give you a little taster of what's to come, here are a few suggestions for Innis and Gunn and Macsween recipe matching:

Innis and Gunn Original with Macsween Haggis Nachos

       Innis&gunn1Traditional Haggis Nachos
The flagship beer, which has won a string of awards, is matured for whopping 77 days and has tasty flavours of toffee, vanilla and oak. It is smooth and easy to drink, making it an ideal partner to enjoy with our haggis nachos and plenty of mates. Check out the recipe here - you can spice it up or cool it down, make it with veggie or traditional haggis.

Innis and Gunn Blond with Macsween BBQ Haggis

    Innis&gunn2BBQ Haggis
On those rare summer days when the sun comes out, and enthusiastic Scot's across the land make a b-line for the barbe, this lightly oaked beer is the refreshment of choice, especially when served super chilled. So grab your suncream and a packet of Macsween cocktail haggis for some outdoor frolicking.  Check out our Macsween Haggis BBQ recipe here.

Innis and Gunn Rum Cask with Macsween Haggis Tartlets

Innis&gunn3 Haggis Tartlets with Red Onion Marmalade
These stunning little canapés deserve an accompaniment which, like them, is a little out of the ordinary … introducing Innis and Gunn's rum cast beer, unusually brewed with rum and oak, it's pretty darn special and it's deep red colour perfectly matches the pops of red onion marmalade atop these little party pleasers. Check out the recipe page of our website for the recipe.
