We are thrilled to announce that Macsween haggis has been awarded 3 gold stars in the Great Taste Awards. This is the highest score given and we are the only haggis to have ever won the 3 star award!

From nearly 10,000 products entered, this prestigious accolade is only awarded to 125 foods; placing our haggis amongst the finest and best tasting foods in the UK!

Jo Macsween said: We are delighted to have been given this seal of approval, it means a lot to us as we really do get up every day to make the best haggis in the world. This award is particularly meaningful as we celebrate our 60th anniversary this year. As the third generation of the Macsween family to run the business, my brother James and I are proud of the tradition and committed to making the finest products, as our grandparents and parents were.

Both our 60 second microwavable haggis and vegetarian haggis were also recognised, each winning 1 gold star!

Over the last 60 years Macsween have won numerous awards and this accolade follows a number of recent successes, having been awarded the IGD Award for Outstanding Business in late 2012, Midlothian's Best Food Producer (for the second time) in May and Scotland's Family Business of the Year in June.

The Great Taste awards are organised by the Guild of Fine Foods and is the acknowledged benchmark for speciality food and drink.
