Macsween triumphs at Midlothian Food and Drink
Awards
Macsween has been named 'Best Local Food or Drink Producer' at
the inaugural Midlothian Food and Drink Awards.
Organised by Midlothian Tourism Forum and Midlothian Council,
the awards are designed to highlight the fantastic range of top
quality local food and drink producers.

Jo Macsween said: "While we sell our haggis and black pudding
across the UK and internationally, the company was born in the
Lothians and is proud of this heritage. This award therefore
means a huge amount to us all and is testament to the hard work put
in by all at team Macsween."
The awards process began with a public vote, where 1,889
Midlothian residents picked their favourite food and drink
suppliers. This identified a shortlist of companies, whom
were judged by a panel from Midlothian Tourism Forum, Visit
Scotland, East of Scotland Food and Drink Network and Midlothian
Council.
Macsween won the best producer category against three other
excellent producers in the form of Stewart Brewing,
Creme-de-la-Cupcake and Cosmo Products.
