Hamish, Morag and Fast Angus had a brilliant day out on Sunday, joining the sizeable crowd of people at the Sport Relief event in Biggar, lapping up the South Lanarkshire sunshine, even if they were out lapped a few times!

He's Scotland's most capped rugby player (109 times, in fact), the only Scot to play in four world cup finals, and over his twelve year career he has amassed a very impressive 809 points for his country. Recently his talents and contributions have been recognised with a MBE, so you might expect his ego to need a separate introduction. Not so; he is a very modest, polite and generous man. As far as team Macsween are concerned, however, Chris' defining career moment was scoring a goal with a 10-portion Macsween haggis at Murrayfield - perfect first time of course! So, I wondered what life is like for Chris off the 6 Nations pitch?

The smoking points of olive oil, death row suppers and the merits of veal fat are all standard subjects of conversation for Heston to cover in the course of sharing a cup of tea. A self-taught chef, his route to the top has been an unconventional one, involving rule-breaking, unusual experiments and an a certain degree of theatre.
