Black pudding in Scotland has always been part of a traditional cooked breakfast, along with bacon, eggs and Lorne sausage.  More recently, consumption has evolved and the product is now enjoying wider popularity as an ingredient in canapés, warm salads and a delicious stuffing with roast meats.
