Burns Night 2009: 250th Anniversary of Scotland's National Poet

Burns Night is celebrated each year on 25th January in memory of the Scottish poet, Robert Burns.  Burns Suppers are hugely popular in Scotland, and all around the world, to celebrate Burns Night.  In 2009, this date has special meaning as it marks the 250th anniversary of the birth of Scotland’s national poet.

Macsween of Edinburgh is approached every year by people wishing to organise their own tributes. As guardians of Scotland's national dish, nothing gives us more pleasure than to share our ideas about arranging a Burns Supper.  We want you all to enjoy the whole experience of fine poetry, fine humour, fine discourse and, of course, fine haggis.
