Macsween's Directors and employees are committed to operating and working in a sustainable enterprise, maintaining the highest standards of environmental, community and social governance. This approach has been recognised by others. In 2008, Macsween won a VIBES (Vision in Business for the Environment of Scotland) Best Management of a Small Business award. In 2009, Macsween won Scotland Food and Drink Excellence Awards for Business of the Year and Sustainability, as well as being Highly Commended for its waste management in the Green Business Awards.
In 2009, the company published its first corporate sustainability report.
